Our regional offices are located in Eureka, Willits, and Redding, California; and Coos Bay, Oregon. We also have a satellite office in Yreka, California. Being the premiere engineering consulting firm in our service areas has been a part of our vision since SHN was formed in 1979. Eureka, CA

Eureka is a rugged, pristine paradise on the beautiful North Coast of California. Eureka's climate is characterized by mild, rainy winters; and cool, dry summers, with an average temperature of 50-60 degrees. The total population in the greater Humboldt County Eureka-Arcata-Fortuna area is estimated to be 100,000 people.


Redding, CA


Nestled in the north end of the Sacramento Valley, Redding is located 150 miles north of Sacramento. The total population of the Shasta County Area is estimated to be 170,000 people. Redding's average summer temperature is 98 degrees and the average winter temperature is 55 degrees. With its natural beauty, abundance of summer and winter recreational opportunities, and excellent quality of life, Redding successfully combines the ambiance of a small town with the amenities of a large city.


Willits, CA


Willits is a small rural town located in Mendocino County, 120 miles north of San Francisco. With the Northern California Coastal Mountains as a backdrop, Willits is situated between the wine country and the redwood forests offering a diverse culture and a lifestyle rich in the outdoors. Annual temperatures range from a high of 100 degrees during the summer to a low of 15 degrees in winter. The total population of the Willits area is estimated to be 14,000 people.


Coos Bay , OR


Coos Bay is the largest of the communities that comprise Oregon's Bay Area. The Bay Area is located on the Pacific Coast midway between San Francisco, California and Seattle, Washington. Coos Bay has a mild marine climate. Temperature extremes are rare, with annual mean highs of 60 degrees and annual mean lows of 45 degrees. The total population of the larger Coos Bay area is estimated to be 30,000 people.
