Development Manager
SHN Consulting Engineers & Geologists, Inc. is seeking a senior-level
California licensed Civil Engineer/Business Development Manager for our Redding,
CA regional office.
The Civil Engineer/Business Development Manager at SHN is directly
responsible for identifying markets and clients, business development, and
writing proposals.
Additional responsibilities include:
*Communicating
regularly with internal and external clients about projects, scope, schedule,
cost, resource allocation and prioritization
*Designing retaining walls,
roads, streets, and bridges; wastewater treatment, storage & disposal
systems; and public works projects
*Providing guidance for less experienced
staff
*Providing overall project management and quality control
The ideal professional will have strong northern California ties and
relationships, including direct client contacts with public sector engineering
and construction industry clients such as northern California cities, counties,
school districts, and other public entities; and participate in local
professional organizations and civic
groups.
Qualifications:
*B.S. Degree in Civil
Engineering or similar field from accredited university or college, M.S.
preferred
*Minimum of 15 years post PE experience as a civil engineer in a
consulting environment
*California Professional Civil Engineer registration
(PE)
*Certified Professional Project Management (PMP) strongly
preferred
*Working knowledge of the conditions and resources in northern
California and familiarity with planning and political processes in Shasta
County
*U.S. citizenship or authorization to work in the U.S. without
sponsorship
*Valid California Driver's license by hire date

Staff Civil
Engineer
SHN Consulting
Engineers & Geologists, Inc. is seeking a Staff Civil Engineer for our
Willits, CA regional office. Staff Civil Engineers at SHN will design exciting
and challenging projects with an emphasis on municipal infrastructure projects
including industrial, commercial, and residential improvement and site
development. Typical duties include the drafting and design of civil
improvements such as grading and drainage; roadways; utilities; foundations and
retaining walls; water and waste water treatment; and other municipal,
commercial and private projects. Experience with computer generated earthwork
cut and fill quantities and balancing is desirable.
You are a good fit for our
Staff Civil Engineer position if you are proficient with AutoCAD, familiar with
Civil 3D, have organizational and project management skills in a consulting
environment, proven design experience within civil drafting of storm water,
water supply, wastewater and municipal projects, and can work independently with
minimal supervision. Construction management/inspection or materials testing
experience is a plus.
Qualifications:

Civil Engineering or similar field from accredited university or college
*Minimum of 2 years hands-on experience as a technical civil engineer in a
consulting environment
*California E.I.T.
certification
*AutoCAD-2007/2008 & LDD proficient; Experience with
Civil3D-2008/2010 preferred

Civil Engineer
Technician

Inc. is seeking a Civil Engineer Technician for our Willits, CA regional office.
Civil Engineer Technicians at SHN will support the design work on civil,
environmental and geotechnical project drawings from schematic design to
construction documents in coordination with various departments as required to
meet SHN s growing and changing needs.
You are a good fit for our Civil Engineer Technician position if you are
proficient with AutoCAD and Land Desktop, familiar with Civil 3D, and want to
design exciting and challenging projects with an emphasis on municipal
infrastructure projects including industrial, commercial, and residential
improvement and site
Qualifications:
*Associate s Degree in Drafting/Design
Technology field (preferred)
*AutoCAD and Land Desktop proficient; Experience
with Civil 3D is desirable.
*At least 10 years experience in civil drafting
of storm water, water supply, wastewater and municipal projects using the civil
design module.
*Working knowledge of the conditions and resources in
northern California and southern Oregon
*U.S. citizenship or authorization
to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
