Project Manager/CEQA Expert

SHN Consulting Engineers & Geologists, Inc. is seeking a full-time professional Project Manager/CEQA expert for a position in our Eureka, CA regional office. CEQA experts at SHN will prepare, oversee and manage large and complex CEQA/NEPA environmental compliance documents and permitting projects for any of a range of clients including federal, state, and local agencies. This is a technical advisor and consultant position for natural resources, permitting & planning, and environmental issues.

You are a good fit for our position if have experience authoring substantial technical sections of EIRs; developing and sustaining client relationships; interfacing with engineering design teams on environmental permit requirements; developing conceptual and final habitat restoration plans; preparing and reviewing proposals and budgets; managing projects to meet financial targets; and preparing technical reports specific to botanical and biological resource impact analysis in support of CEQA/ NEPA documents.

Qualifications:
*B.S. Degree (Environmental Sciences, Biology, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Planning, or Urban Planning)
*A minimum of 6 years hands-on-experience managing environmental projects including CEQA and NEPA documentation, regulatory compliance and technical studies
*Extensive CEQA experience and knowledge
*GIS and GPS experience preffered
*A solid understanding of western United States flora and wildlife with emphasis on northern California
*Working knowledge of the natural resources and planning/ permitting processes in northern California
*U.S. citizenship or authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
*Valid California Driver's license by hire date
