Proven construction survey experience
Topographic surveys for design and construction of roads, forest bridge design, subdivisions, and street improvements
Walter has over 30 years of survey experience. He has worked on urban and rural street improvement projects; subdivisions; forestry projects; and residential, commercial, and industrial developments. Walter has performed flood certificate, topographic, cadastral, construction, GPS control, property, and land division surveys. He has performed surveys for the design and construction of roads, bridges, buildings, subdivisions, street, sewer, water, and wastewater improvements; and surveys for major electrical power systems including electrical substation and power line surveys. Walter is skilled in the use of a variety of surveying instruments (total stations, robotic total stations, data collectors, and GPS receivers). SHN currently utilizes Trimble R8 GPS Receivers, Trimble S6 Robotic Total Stations, and Leica Robotic Total Stations. For software, SHN uses AutoCad Civil3D and Trimble Business Center. Walter is leading the survey group in uses of new technology to improve survey efficiency, such as drones and scanners, with the software and data handling processes those entail.
