Emily Machado is an amazing young woman who we have had the pleasure of sponsoring for some years.  Here are her words, “Because of your wonderful sponsorship I was able to have another amazing rodeo season.  With your support and my hard work I was able to win the All-Around Cowgirl and be the Goat Tying Champion.  I also earned a spot into the State Finals in Bishop, CA in the Breakaway Roping, Team Roping, Goat Tying, and the Cutting event.  I hope I can reach my goal and make it to the Nationals in Gillette, Wyoming.”

We hope so too!  Every year, Emily brings all her awards (saddles, buckles, bridles, cases, and more) to the SHN Eureka office, and she describes how her training has progressed and what her plans are for the next year.  She represents Division 2 of the California High School Rodeo Association, which covers Del Norte, Humboldt, Mendocino, Lake, Sonoma, Marin, and Napa counties.  We also salute Emily’s parents, Deanna and Tony, who would be the All-Around Rodeo Parent Champions if there was such a thing.  (Photo credit: Deanna Machado)
