SHN is excited to welcome Roozbeh Foroozan to our NorCal team! Roozbeh will be aiding in the growth of our Geosciences team, as he is a licensed engineer (PE) with a specialty in geotechnical engineering.
Roozbeh is originally from Iran and moved to the United States in 2007 for a PhD program at Penn State University. His research was focused on understanding ground movement around an active volcano using geodesy and earth modeling. Roozbeh worked at engineering firms in Redmond, WA and Sacramento and Redding, CA, bringing over 20 years of experience. Most recently, he worked at a specialty geo-consulting firm as a lead engineer.
Outside of work, Roozbeh enjoys studying and teaching Bhakti Yoga philosophy, translating books, hiking, and traveling. He became a geotechnical engineer due to his long-standing interest in geology, nature, history, and different cultures. He particularly enjoys projects that improve lives and have a direct impact on the community, such as working on hospitals, schools, and bridges.
Roozbeh is an experienced engineer, and SHN is proud to have him on our team, assisting in coastal and inland projects. We look forward to the value he will bring to the continued success of our projects, and we are confident that our clients will enjoy working with him as much as we do!
